Sunday 27th May 2012

Well the 2012 TT is finally here !! What incredible weather to start practice .. long may it continue !

With the newcomers, 650's and sidecars out last night I thought I would go to Ballaugh Bridge for first practice. A good crowd there in superb sunshine. After a slight delay due to comms problems the practice got away with the newcomers following Richard "Milky" Quayle, Keith Amor and John Barton. Some "good air" for Karl Harris who looked to be enjoying his first closed roads lap after a winter of learning on open roads.

Speaking to Karl this morning he says going down Bray Hill is proper scary and losing all his tear-offs going down Bray Hill for the second lap made for difficult visibility in the bright sunshine. Karl appears to have a great attitude towards competing in his first TT, good luck and I hope you have a great experience!

The new class of 650 twins followed in the new "Lightweight" TT and this could be a really closely contested race with Ryan Farquhar starting as favourite.

Sidecars finished off the session, good to see Dave Molyneux back after a year away from the track.

Sat watching BSB from Snetterton trying to get the site populated, roll on Monday when the Superbikes etc take to the TT circuit.
